Indivisible Polk Florida had the opportunity to participate in Lakeland, FL’s annual MLK Parade. We are truly grateful to be part of such an incredible community.

The foundation of so much of Indivisible’s work comes directly from the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The call to organize, to act with intention, and to refuse silence in the face of injustice.

We honor Dr. King and the countless people who showed up, marched, organized, and sacrificed during the Civil Rights Movement. Their work paved the way for ours.

Letter from Birmingham Jail remains a powerful reminder that “waiting” has never been a strategy for justice—and its message still speaks loudly today. [ https://www.csuchico.edu/iege/_assets/documents/susi-letter-from-birmingham-jail.pdf ]

We are grateful to march in Lakeland, FL’s MLK parade. We are united in solidarity and committed to building a future that truly serves everyone.
